Welcome to the LUTEDUO ACADEMY!
Improve your skills learning with Anna Kowalska and Anton Birula!
Our curriculum focuses first and foremost on the development of a stable technique and the skills needed for advanced repertoire across a select range of historical and classical instruments:
- Lute, Baroque guitar, and Theorbo
- Classical guitar (primarily no-nails technique)
Our program welcomes both those playing just for the love of the instrument and advanced performers. To ensure absolute control and the best possible tone, our instruction incorporates tailored lute setup advice for every specific instrument.
In addition to core instrumental mastery, technical development, and instrument setup, we comprehensively cover essential aspects of performance practice:
- Basso continuo and ensemble playing
- Theoretical understanding of historical harmony and musical language
- Refinement of tone, articulation, and historical techniques
The primary instruction is delivered online (via TEAMS or ZOOM platforms), with the exciting addition of live lessons available in Holland, Poland, and Germany (subject to schedule and location availability).
Lessons are given in English, Dutch, Polish, Russian, and Swedish.
